Introducing Eclipse in your Environment
Purple Scout is Sweden’s foremost developer within the Eclipse Open Source community. We help large and small businesses implement and operate Eclipse technology at every step – from preliminary research to final tweaking. And we’re always on call to offer support when you need it.
Step 1 – Preliminary research
We analyze your entire existing development environment, your tools, your current needs and your goals for the future. You then receive a report on the most efficient ways to use Eclipse to accomplish your goals.
Step 2 – Project specification
Based on the report, a project specification is created for your development environment. We specify everything from the CM, the building environment, which plug-ins to use and which need to be developed.
Step 3 – Preparation
We involve your developers in the decision making process to ensure a smooth transition and ready acceptance. This helps us meet all their needs and manage expectations. The preparation involves conducting workshops, developing a user handbook, testing beta versions and creating a feedback system on your intranet.
Step 4 – Launch
During the launch, we give you the option of having your own support team. they work either onsite at your office, or offsite via a direct phone line. They report to you on potential problems and suggest ways to improve the project. They also collect data that show the impact the new development environment has on your business.
Step 5 – Administration and development
The development environment probably isn’t your core business. It may be in your best interest to outsource all or parts of its administration and development to Purple Scout. We can:
- Analyze and correct error reports
- Forward error reports to third party vendors when necessary
- Train new personnel
- Develop new functionality
- Test and verify the complete environment
Step 6 – Support
As even short production stops are extremely costly, we understand how important it is to have access to quick and effective support. Purple Scout offers support both onsite and offsite – via telephone and email. We tailor our Service Level Agreements to meet your specific needs.
